Writing historical today
To the tune of Buck Cherry's SORRY over and over again, I'm writing historical romance, circa 1346 France. My hero's sustained a head wound. He's not exactly thinking clear.
Perhaps that's why he's thinking about sex, and regretting that he didn't take the virgin living in his house when he had the chance.
His name is Jean. (Szon) The Marquis Jean Paul Le Chaluner. (Shall-ooh-nay) Doesn't that have a ring to it?
He's thinking about a girl named Lysanne--but that's just because he needs another blow to the head--and to meet Natalia, an Italian beauty that is really gonna make him hurt.
You people are gonna love this story, I think. Twisted affections. Lots of ins and outs. (Three books in this series. Two already started.)
The one I'm writing now is titled Betrayal of the Betrothed and it's already won an award.

14th century France -- oh la la! lol
I love the title and it sounds intriguing just the little bit you've described. Great character names, too. :)
OK, that's going to be a good one! Can't go wrong with a name like that and France as a setting. :)
Don't forget about possible side-effects of head injuries -- blurred vision, memory loss, seizures... Yeah, I was mean to poor Kiernan. lol It got 'im Maeve though. :)
